While most of my senior clients come see me in the summer or fall months, I LOVE the opportunity to photograph seniors in spring!! This senior session for Brantley came right after cap and gown delivery - the perfect time to celebrate the end of senior year and her decision to attend Auburn University in the fall! After starting the afternoon with hair and makeup by Tori at Artistry Beauty Bar, we met for photos outdoors/on-location!

The Class of 2024 was a really special group to celebrate senior year with, and one of those seniors is especially Distinguished - meet Cate! While Cate has earned many awards and distinctions for her talents and academic endeavors, one of my personal favorite titles that she holds is that of our Class of 2024 Distinguished Young Woman of Lee County.

Every senior portrait session is an adventure, a chance to capture a young person's passions and personality. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Hudson, whose adventurous spirit and diverse interests made for an unforgettable session. As we discussed his vision for the session, it became clear that we needed to showcase his love for cars and aviation.

My last blog post featured a super glam, dramatic, bold maternity photoshoot in the studio, but another momma I worked with recently had a totally different vision in mind! Kalyn (a past high school senior portrait client of mine! What?!) asked if we could create something bright and soft and feminine for her maternity portraits, and we were able to do just that!

Oh my, oh my, this maternity photo session feature is such a treat!! Jennifer came to me with a vision for a glamorous photoshoot to celebrate her pregnancy and help her feel beautiful and empowered, and she slayed every second.

There's a certain magic in simplicity, and recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing that enchantment during a sweet backyard family session with Kris and her wonderful family.

Embarking on a senior portrait session often feels like uncovering the layers of a person's story, and my experience last fall with Jackson, a senior at Auburn High School, was no exception. With his effortless coolness and multifaceted interests, Jackson brought a wealth of character and charm to our session.

As a photographer, every session presents a unique opportunity to capture special moments and tell a story through the lens. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Dylan, a senior at Springwood School, whose laid back personality and passions made for an unforgettable photo session.

Photographers have a unique opportunity to witness and capture the beautiful changes within families from year to year, and I couldn’t help but take a moment to reflect on a recent returning family session! Sarah and Matt asked me to be their photographer for the first time about this time last fall/winter. Lo and David did amazing, and I was SO excited when Sarah reached out to me again this year!

Since our last session together, it's been heartwarming to witness the growth and blossoming personalities of Riley and Reagan. They've embarked on new adventures, and this time around, they introduced me to a delightful addition to their lives – a beautiful pony named Carney! The joy and excitement on their faces as they shared the frame with their equine companion were truly priceless.

Senior year is such an exciting time, and for me, that’s part of what makes senior portraits my favorite category of photography!! These VIPs seniors are moving into a very special year as the Class of 2024, so celebrating the New Year together seemed like a no brainer. Usually for these shoots, I’ll organize everything, specify a location and wardrobe style, and provide props as needed, but this particular photoshoot was a bit more collaborative!! Check it out!

Artistry Beauty Bar, the latest and greatest addition to the Auburn Opelika beauty scene, has been making waves in the community for a few weeks now, but today marked a significant milestone as they officially celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony!

Described by his mom as having the purest soul, Charlie's easygoing nature and laid-back attitude made him a joy to work with for senior photos. Bonus! Combining this session to be a senior portrait session and a family session proved to be an excellent choice!

Recently I had the privilege of taking photos for the AU MedAesthetics team. Dr. Nancy Haring and her daughter Searcy are an amazing duo! It was such an honor to get to work with professionals who are so passionate about skincare, and I loved meeting several of their loyal clients who came to model as well! I was able to see a few previously unfamiliar procedures and services up close, and it was truly fascinating to see how they bring out the natural beauty in every client.

You’ve seen the Auburn and Opelika School Spirit photoshoots, and now I’m so pleased to present the remaining 2 school groups’ photoshoots! Both Smiths Station and Homeschool students showed up wearing school gear and coordinated colors to show their spirit and enjoy celebrating with good friends :) Check it out!
