Patton Backyard Family Session

There's a certain magic in simplicity, and recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing that enchantment during a sweet backyard family session with Kris and her wonderful family.

When planning the session with Kris, we aimed for simplicity and authenticity. It was during these discussions that the idea to set the stage for photos at their home, and to include Jamerson the horse, a classic favorite toy, took shape. This simple toy held a special place in the hearts of the children, and incorporating it into the session was perfect. As the kids engaged with Jamerson, I had the privilege of capturing genuine smiles and the kind of laughter that can only come from pure, unfiltered joy.

Another star of the session? Puddles, the family dog, whose adorable energy and loyalty added an extra layer of joy to the photographs.

What truly made this session special was the focus on capturing sentimental childhood moments. The backyard setting provided the canvas for the kids and family to all play with the dog and toys and balls and bubbles, timeless and carefree activities that encapsulated the feeling and memories of childhood.

At the end of the session I was so pleased to have the opportunity to create a large canvas wall art piece for the Pattons to enjoy every day as they enter and leave their home. Seeing their home decorated with the love we were able to capture was such a sweet experience!!
