Cate - Botanic Senior Photos & Lee County DYW Portraits

The Class of 2024 was a really special group to celebrate senior year with, and one of those seniors is especially Distinguished - meet Cate! While Cate has earned many awards and distinctions for her talents and academic endeavors, one of my personal favorite titles that she holds is that of our Class of 2024 Distinguished Young Woman of Lee County. This title was earned through competing in categories of Interview, Self Expression, Scholastics, Fitness, and Talent, and being a wonderful example of the 5 pillars of the DYW program - Be Studios, Be Responsible, Be Involved, Be Healthy, and Be Ambitious.

Cate’s sister Cara was also a Lee County DYW Participant and senior portrait client, so reconnecting with the Herrings for Cate’s senior year was a special treat! Cate is thoughtful and kind with big goals in the field of law, and a big heart to use her knowledge and talents to help people and families through that work. I really enjoyed the chance to get to know her, and create photos that celebrated this year and are just beautiful! Because Cate really is beautiful inside and out!

These photos took us on a little tour of Auburn/Opelika! From the gorgeous venue and gardens of Botanic to a sunny parking deck structure with Auburn University views (her college choice!), to the Gogue Performing arts Center where Cate has performed in the Nutcracker several times with Variations Studio…all gorgeous and meaningful places that brought out different styles and personality/feelings! Thank you to Tori Mejia and Kara Pettit for providing hair and makeup for different portions of these photoshoots!

Wishing Cate congratulations on graduating high school, and wishing the absolute best as she passes on the Lee County DYW title this June and prepares for Auburn in the fall!
