Hensarling 2023 Family Photos

Finally sharing this beautiful family portrait session from last year, because we’re about to do it again this year in November and I can’t believe I missed blogging our first session together!

Last fall we made a plan for a session to update professional photos for Kerri as she moved to a new practice as an OBGYN, and carved out time for family portraits with her husband and the boys afterward!

Starting in the studio, we grabbed a great mix of silly and and serious and smiling expressions! Insight: I have lots of clients who choose to apply their photo credit toward just the traditional smiling and posed options we create together, but I LOVED that Kerri broke the mold and prioritized the less “perfect” shots, because you need a bit of both to really represent your family dynamic :)

The neutral color theme of outfits photographed beautifully! And Kerri’s hair and makeup by Tori Mejia looked beautiful!

After we were finished at the studio, we moved on to some personalized family photos in the backyard, particularly so we could include the rest of the family this year! Family portraits with pets will forever be one of my favorite forms of chaos, but the results are always priceless.
