Rowan’s Senior Session | From State Park to Studio

I had a great experience capturing both Rowan’s personality and passions during his recent senior portrait session. We started at a local favorite photo session location, Chewacla State Park in Auburn. Growing up camping with his family, this location perfectly showcased his love for the outdoors and his adventurous spirit. The natural beauty of the park made for a stunning backdrop, and we even were able to incorporate Rowan’s truck to add another personal touch to the session!

After capturing some great moments in nature, we transitioned to a more polished setting for the second part of the session. We headed back to my studio where Rowan put on a sharp suit and tie for some professional-style portraits. These formal photos are ideal for LinkedIn profiles, college applications, and future interviews. I always encourage seniors to incorporate some headshot style images into their session because it’s a great way to prepare for the next steps in their academic or career journey.

What I love most about Rowan’s session is how it seamlessly blended two different sides of his personality—the outdoorsy side and the refined, professional side. Whether it’s the laid-back shots at Chewacla State Park or the sharp, clean look in the studio, each part of the session tells a unique story about who Rowan is. I’m so pleased with how these photos turned out, and with how we were able to turn images from this session into beautiful printed artwork for the walls of their home. I’m excited for Rowan as he steps into this next chapter of his life!
