Destination Sibling Photoshoot | Destin, Florida
There’s something magical about a destination photoshoot—new surroundings, fresh inspiration, and the chance to create unforgettable images. Just before the SYNC senior and youth photography conference kicked off, I had the pleasure of photographing two wonderful sisters, Hannah and Lily, on the stunning Florida coast.
Joined by my talented photographer friends Melissa Reinhardt from St. Augustine and Allison Hinman from Charlotte, we made the most of the opportunity to creatively collaborate before our conference education time began.
We all grabbed our cameras and lighting gear and started our adventure at Baytowne Wharf, where Hannah and Lily posed in front of colorful shops and beneath a walkway of super cute hanging umbrellas! I love vibrant colors, and this location had so much to work with!
Not to far away, we were also able to use the conference center’s cobblestone walkways and gardens as a backdrop. The elegant architecture, greenery, and florals were so charming and romantic!
Next, we headed to the marina, where Hannah opted for a vintage inspired blue and white striped day dress and Lily wore a casual swimsuit/button down shirt with jeans for a “just hopped off the boat” look :) Both girls were stunning, and at this point we were all questioning why they aren’t both professional models.
As a final stop before we headed to check in for the conference, we made our way to a surprisingly uncrowded beach on the Gulf! The clear blue waters and soft white sand provided the perfect backdrop for the final portion of the shoot! A special highlight of the shoot was the stunning impact dresses that Allison brought from Joyfolie. Flowing and dramatic, these gowns added a fine art fantasy element to the portraits. The movement of the fabric in the ocean breeze made for some of the most striking and cinematic images of the day! I won’t lie, the breeze was more of a violent wind really, and we fought with our lighting equipment the whole time…but it was so worth it!
Hannah and Lily embraced every setting and outfit with enthusiasm and great attitudes. It was a long photoshoot with lots of outfit swaps and walking, so I was super impressed. It really was a joy to collaborate with such an amazing group of photographers and to capture these beautiful sisters in such a breathtaking location.
This Destin session was a perfect mix of adventure, artistry, and fun! I’m looking forward to wherever my next destination session adventure will take me! Will it be with you?! Let’s talk!
