Miss Auburn University Headshots
The Miss Auburn University pageant and crowning is happening this evening! In preparation for the pageant, I had the honor of capturing the headshots for these talented and inspiring contestants of this year’s competition. These young women are not only incredible leaders, but also dedicated to making a difference in their communities and pursuing their educational and career goals.
Each contestant has poured countless hours into preparing for the Miss Auburn University pageant, where they will be judged based on a variety of criteria. The pageant is an exciting opportunity for these women to demonstrate their poise, intelligence, and passion in front of the Auburn community, with the ultimate goal of earning the prestigious title of Miss Auburn University.
The Miss Auburn University title is a stepping stone toward the Miss Alabama competition, which is part of the larger Miss America Organization, a program that has been empowering women for nearly 100 years. This long-standing not-for-profit organization provides college scholarships to outstanding young women, making a significant impact in a state where funding for education can often be scarce. In a time when higher education access is more crucial than ever, the Miss Alabama Program is a beacon of opportunity, challenging women to set ambitious goals, strive for excellence, and achieve their fullest potential. The program also fosters personal growth and self-confidence, while also encouraging contestants to serve as role models and advocates for social causes that are close to their hearts.
Contestants will be evaluated across several key categories, each contributing to the overall score:
30% Private Interview: A chance for the contestants to personally connect with the judges, discussing their platforms, goals, and passion for service.
20% Fitness: This portion of the competition focuses on physical fitness and health, demonstrating the contestants' commitment to maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle.
20% Talent: Whether it's singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or showcasing a unique skill, talent is a crucial element of the pageant.
20% Evening Wear: Contestants will display their elegance and grace as they walk the stage in formal evening wear.
10% On-Stage Question: A final opportunity for the contestants to impress the judges with their quick thinking and articulate responses to a question posed live during the event.
As I look back on the headshot sessions with these incredible contestants, I’m reminded of the hard work, determination, and heart that each of them brings to the table. They represent the bright future of Auburn and beyond, and I can’t wait to see how they each shine in this weekend’s pageant.
